Pregnancy is such a special time in your life. You may want to capture the anticipation of one of the most unforgettable moments of your life. I love to capture growing bellies both in-studio and on-location. Whether you’d like beautiful timeless images of just mom, or you’d like to include dad and siblings I can make your session just what you envision. Fun and playful, or classic and sophisticated, my goal is to help you feel beautiful and capture images of you with a natural feel that capture this special fleeting time in your life.
A maternity session is designed to celebrate and document the precious new life growing inside you. This is one of my favorite sessions as it is a combination of glamour, celebration, tenderness and romance.
We also carry several maternity gowns for you to choose from, or you are welcome to bring your own wardrobe. We are also happy to help you select clothing.
STUDIO MATERNITY SESSIONS
Studio maternity sessions are classic, fun and modern. Michele likes to keep backgrounds and lighting simple and beautiful to draw attention and focus just on mom and her belly. We strive to capture beautiful moments for you and your partner, as well as make the experience enjoyable and comfortable.
LOCATION MATERNITY SESSIONS
On-location maternity sessions use beautiful glowing natural light. Sessions in a park or at the lakefront are a great way to have a natural feel to your session. Michele has several favorite locations for maternity sessions that she can recommend or is happy to shoot at a location that is meaningful and special to you.
WHEN TO SCHEDULE: I recommend scheduling your session between 30-34 weeks. That seems to be perfect for most moms-to-be. This is a time frame where your beautiful belly is of ample size, yet you aren’t as “puffy” and uncomfortable as you may be in your last 4 to 6 weeks. One size does not always fit all so a good rule of thumb is to schedule when your belly is nice and pronounced and you are still feeling good!
