I know how important these first images are. I have many years of training and experience in handling, posing and settling newborns. During our time together I promise to handle and care for your baby as if they were my own.

Capturing your newborn within the first few weeks of life while they are still sleepy and curled up can really make all the difference in your newborn portraits. Please call to schedule your newborn appointment before your baby is born. Since babies sometimes come on their own schedule I will put you on my calendar to hold a spot for you. When your baby is born I will move your appointment accordingly. If your baby came early or if your baby is already born, don’t worry. I will do my best to fit your newborn into my schedule!
Posed sessions are most successful when done within the first 7-21 days of life so it’s important that I know as soon as possible when baby has arrived.
Swaddled sessions are perfect for older newborns (3-6 weeks)
Newborns photograph best without any clothes at all. We also love to photograph newborns swaddled in wraps with lots of texture and as well as in buckets and baskets. We have newborn hats and headbands that coordinate beautifully with our blankets and props that we will use to style your images. You are welcome to bring any hats or props that you would like to have the baby photographed in.
Sleepy babies photograph perfectly, so we will ask you to undress and swaddle baby before the feeding so as to not disturb them by undressing them after the feeding. We take several breaks for feeding baby during the session to ensure that baby is happy and has a full tummy. We ask that you not be too concerned with scheduled feedings during the session and that you feed baby on demand or when they get a bit fussy to ensure their comfort and will make for a smooth session. We will also send you a detailed prep guide before your session!
Absolutely! I love to capture the emotion of those special first days with your new little one and believe that there is nothing better than an image of mommy or daddy admiring their newborn.
